Your videos never reach us
This tool compresses video inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded, transmitted, stored, or seen by us. There is no server that receives them.
No accounts, no ads — and the cookies we do set
We don't offer accounts, we don't show ads, and we don't sell data. We do run Google Analytics, to count visits and see which tools actually get used. It sets two first-party cookies — _ga and _ga_18TND88VX7 — holding a randomly generated number that lets us tell a returning visitor from a new one. They last about 13 months (400 days, the longest a browser will keep them) and only this site can read them. That number isn't linked to a name, an email or an account, because we have none of those, and advertising storage and ad personalisation are switched off, so nothing here feeds an advertising profile. Analytics records page views, approximate location and device type — it never sees your files, which are processed on your device and never uploaded. One more cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, remembers your language when the page you're on is Spanish or Portuguese; it holds a language code and disappears when you close your browser. None of that happens until you say yes. Analytics is switched off by default, and the bar on your first visit is what turns it on — declining leaves it off and sets no analytics cookie at all. You can change your mind whenever you like — the button at the end of this page reopens the choice — and blocking cookies for this site or using any ad-blocker works too. Every tool keeps working exactly the same either way. Your theme choice (light/dark) and the cached compression engine are kept in your browser's own storage, local to your device.
Hosting logs
Our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) to serve the site and prevent abuse. These are not used to identify you and are retained per the provider's policy.
